The treasure/scavenger hunts I organize for kids aged in between 6 and 14 years old consist of a walking tour in a specific area of the city (for example: Boboli garden treasure hunt: Pitti palace and Boboli garden. Medici family treasure hunt: Medici district). My tours are active learning activities because my mission is to engage the kids in a fun experience that they will treasure forever using visual thinking strategies that will enhance their critical skills and their problem solving.The kids will receive a booklet that contains the information that will guide them discovering the treasure. Thanks to the booklet the kids will be capable to enjoy and to understand, the best way possible, what is surrounding them. Together we will find symbols, coat of arms, family’s motto, animals, grottoes, portraits etc, and listen to fascinating stories related to them.
