The tour begins in the amazing Piazza Duomo to see the gates designed by Ghiberti for the Baptistery and to admire statues of the prophets or the tiles created by Giotto and Andrea Pisano to decorate the Cathedral’s bell tower. We will then visit the monastery of San Marco in order to admire the beautiful frescoes created by Fra Angelico based on the Gospel, also to explore the section of the monastery which houses a display of objects that survived the destruction of the Jewish Ghetto. After we will enter Academy gallery with Michelangelo’s magnificent David, so that we can gain a profound insight into the history of the Jewish community in Florence and its relationship with the Medici family. The tour ends with a visit inside the Synagogue.
