This is a special itinerary through the winding Via Chiantigiana or SR222 road. The tour will take you to one of the most renowned and beautiful areas in Italy, the Chianti. Situated between Florence and Siena, it is known all over the world for its fine wine, its magical countryside and its typical medieval villages. This is the land of the Gallo Nero, the symbol of the Consorzio Chianti Classico, the organization that protects the Chianti Classico wine and its trademark. The itinerary along the S222 has beautiful scenery. Nature blends with small towns and ancient and historic buildings, and together we will discover nice villages. The area has a large number of farms and wine cellars many of which offer delicious tastings of their own wines. On the way you can stop for a little wine tasting at one of the many historical vineyards, try some freshly pressed olive oil and visit a local pecorino cheese producer. Lunch can be organized in a typical countryside restaurant.
