This tour will take you to the heart of the Florentine workshops, meeting the latest and truly skilled masters of Florence. We will start with one of the city’s most ancient workshop where they still carve and gild wooden frames using the same technique mastered in Florence during the 15th century. Next in our list will be the most famous workshop of ‘Commesso Fiorentino’ – beautiful marble – inlaid objects, with precious and semiprecious stones. This skilled and unique technique was invented in Florence, in 1577 for the Medici family. After we will dive into the wonderland of a Florentine jewelry maestro. He is considered one of the most creative jewelers in Florence, producing very special rings or necklaces, which are inspired by fairy tales, Gothic and Renaissance time artifacts.
