Medieval Case Torri (Tower houses) and Renaissance Palazzi (Palaces)

This tour explores the evolution of civil architecture over the centuries: from high and narrow medieval towers to the stately shapes of noble palaces of the Renaissance, commissioned by the richest families of the period, designed by the most famous architect’s of the day. The Florentine palazzi tour includes a visit to the Palazzo Davanzati, known as the ancient Florentine house museum and to the Palazzo Medici a Renaissance palace designed by Michelozzo and famous for the breathtaking Chapel of the Magi.
This tour is an outside walking tour which aims to give the opportunity to explore the evolution of civil architecture over the centuries: from high and narrow medieval towers to the stately shapes of the noble Renaissance palaces, all commissioned by the most powerful and richest families of the period and designed by the most famous architects of the day.
